What is it? Here @ Wedgwood the students from kindergarten and 1st grade have classroom “buddies”. These “buddies” are classes of upper classmen who are matched with another class of younger children to engage in and outside class activities. The buddies become a point of contact for the younger children at school. The parent buddy system is a similar concept. Parents of incoming new students will be matched with parent buddies who have been part of the Wedgwood community for at least a year. Parent buddies will be the point person whom the new parent can ask questions of and be introduced to the Wedgwood community and getting parents involved in the PTA. We need volunteers to be a parent buddy, as well those new parents who would like to have a parent buddy. Sign up sheets will be available at the BBQ.
