PTA-Sponsored Programs
Here is a sampling of the programs Wedgwood Elementary PTA funds each year:
- Educational school assemblies throughout the year, like "Alexander the Dragon" on anti-bullying, a week-long all-school enrichment program in the spring, and student programs, including Conflict Managers, Safety Patrol and Student Council.
- We enrich the arts at Wedgwood — The PTA pays for an Art Teacher to give art instruction to each classroom 8 times a year. In addition, we also fund the Parent Volunteer-Driven Art Docent program and subsidize the Instrumental Music program, many students' introduction to music.
- Important support for our staff at Wedgwood, including curriculum grants, classroom supply funds, library support, specialized continuing education and technology upgrades.
- We also offer private financial assistance by way of student grants so that all students have the ability to participate in activities at Wedgwood.
